So we were discussing the Comet yesterday, she says we're going to do it first when our finances get right. I say ok, you know I'm gonna 5spd it. She says no you're not, I want to drive it. Now, she can drive any stick car out there, but at 5'1" pressing the clutch can be a tippytoe ordeal sometimes. Oh well, I guess I can respect her wishes...since every other vehicle I own is a stick anyhoo. I guess that old AOD I've been saving needs to get a rebuild. In a weird twist, she also instructed me to leave the Pea (maverick) alone with it's 200 and 3 on the tree. No argument from me, I dig the novelty of the old 3 on the tree and the little 200 is good for 25 mpg.
My latest money pit is a '92 F350 4x4. I sold the Dodge Cummins to get this one because I needed the 4 wheel drive. 460, ZF 5spd and 4.10s should do a good job. Totally stock truck, complete with stock hubcaps and teeny looking 235/85/16 tires. First thing she says? No, not "why do you think you need a 10 mpg 1 ton pickup", but rather "you need to ditch the old man hubcaps and it needs bigger tires". My sentiments exactly.
Todays our 12th anniversary. Not only does she put up with all my swapping/selling/parting and dreaming, she often participates. I love my wife!

Lucky you! My wife is just the opposite; she does'nt particpate in any form but she never hassles me or participate in anything involved in the car hobby. Had the car since July 09 and the only time she's been in it was to pump the brakes for me to bleed the system. I suppose im lucky in the fact that she don't ever bother me abt the car or what I do or spend on it.
    Happy Anniversary!

My wife doesn't bother me one way or the other about my Mavericks, nor does she understand my fascination with them. The only thing that she understands, is that I need them, and she's OK with that. I kinda like it like that.

Happy anniversary,to you and yours, Tim.

Have a good Anniversary. My wife has no interest at all in my car. Kind of wish she did but oh well. She doesnt give me a hassle over it at least.

I wouldnt say mine puts up with the cars. She does get on me what I spend, but I couldnt get her out there to hold something if my life depended on it. I ask her for help she rolls her eyes, and says get the neighbor lol.

Although she LOVES the mini mark.
