Hi fellas I have been using your tech info from google for quite awhile, I figured it was about time I sighned up and introduce myself. I was always a Oldsmobile/Pontiac guy til I picked up this Maverick, I never knock Fords/Dodge or Chevy or any of the muscle car companies, because all of them have produced great cars and junk as well. Im learning my way here with this lil ford. Currently running a 0.30 over 302 10 to 1, Junk heads, roller tip rockers and edelbrock intake, holley 750 dp. Hooker headers and 3 inch flowmasters. In the works I have a stroked 351w 69 block and heads, It is a full roller motor. I have had stainless 205/194 valves installed deck shaved and set to match my custom ground roller cam. The pistons have already been fly cut to clear the valves. It is a DSS stroker kit. Cubic inch will not be revealed! LOL and if anyone asks its a 302!!!! stock from a 77 truck. Trans is a built c4 with tci 3500 stall. Runnin an 8 inch rear end with a gm metric weld on disk brake kit, same as I run on my 9 inch floaters in the stock cars. with a 3 90 gear and a auburn mini spool. Drive shaft is a lightened shaft from midwest driveline. 10 inch center lines in the rear and pizza cutters in the front. I just picked up a 76 mercury monarch to steal the front disk brake system off of. Im havin fun with this lil car!

Welcome to the forum, from eastern N.C. :Handshake

Sounds like you're putting a nice little engine together. But i've got to say that 1.94 exhaust valves are huge.

Thanks everybody, Im sure I will reap the benefits of being a member. I will be pulling the 302 out this week, and nabbing what accessories I need for the other engine. I will try to post pics but we'll see. I get pretty focused on my tasks and try like hell to utilize every minute.

Nice lil burnout Video of my maverick

here's a nice lil video my son recorded out front of our house. I made it a short 1 because the neighbors were out in their yard.
this is with the grbber hood on it. I have since made a cowl hood for clearance of the new powerplant. BTW fellas I found a fiberglass cowl hood for an 80's Iroc style camaro. The hood contoor is a perfect match for the maverick hood. I cut the cowl out of the camaro hood. and glassed it to a stock Maverick hood. That is the pic in my avatar.
