The 1976 Maverick we are currently working on was made in Canada. When I pulled the seats out the build sheet was not there. It dosen't seem to under the carpet either. I'm not sure where else to look for it. Were the build sheets in Canadian cars stashed in other places?

I have found build sheets all over the place. Under the carpet, stuffed under the front seat springs, stuffed under the back seat springs, up under the dash, behind the rear seat kick panel taped to the inside of the rear quarter panel.....and the most popular place: not at all. I would say I have found build sheets in 25% of the cars I have owned/parted out.

That is interesting. So far every original untouched Maverick we have worked on has had a build sheet in it. I guess we were just lucky. I'm not saying they were in the greatest shape when we found them. Some were so bad they just crumbled into dust. We were hoping to find one in this Maverick because it's owner has never seen one before and he would just like to have it to keep with the car's records. We have not pulled the carpet completely out yet, so I'll check under there tomorrow. Thanks for your suggestions guys. :tiphat:
