    i ran a thick gauge wire from the side of the starter solinoid that the alternator is hooked to to a barrier strip i put on the fire wall, the wiring on the barrier strip is set up so that each plug will get power will this work to power 12 volt accesories like feul pump and ect?........if it will work will i need fuses on whatever is getting power from it?

    If its coming from the side that the alternator wire goes to then its also on the side the positive battery cable goes to. This will be hot all the time. Unless you are referring to the "I" terminal on the front of the solenoid. That will only have power when Ignition is on.

    If you are using the big post that is shared with the battery cable then you can use your power strip to supply power to relays that then power your accessories when triggered by a 12 volt key on trigger.

    You should also run a fuse on the supply wire that you ran to the strip. If that wire is shorted it will burn - and fast!
    Figure out what the max amps will be (add the other fuses together) and install a fuse of that amp rating where it comes off the solenoid. Or check the max amps that can be safely carried by the supply wire and use a fuse at or slightly above that amp rating.

    I was wondering if i should, thanx for the info, i spent yesterday re-wiring stuff and putting in relays, i found a nice strudy fuse block too.
