I just got my hood from US Body Source, if any has any questions or wants to see any pictures of it just ask, its not perfect but deffinetly can be made perfect with a little tiny bit of duraglass, if you guys have any questions feel free to ask, i just got it 2 days ago and havent messed with it so it straight out of the box. just thought id try and help some people out her
Same here. Im thinking of going with one of these hoods and would like to see the process of getting it from the crate to finish paint and install. Thanks
no problem, ill work on doing as i can, ill put some pictures of hood up either tommorw morning or ill do it monday, ill also bolt the fenders down and set the hood, im dieing to see what its going to look like.
everyone keep in mind i just turned 18 back in may and am working 6 days a week, i promise ill do my best to answer all questions, and sorry about any delays, but keep in mind ive been saving my money for this car for 2 and a half years and havent given up yet.... by the way does anyone know a good machine shop that specializes in ford enginge in north florida? Thanks
71 gold i belive its a 3" ill take a ruler out tomorrow and give you an exact measure, and to everyone else ill take picture, pictures, pictures, and a few more picture, this is the version that accepts all hardware it is no a pin on.
I've been very happy with the hood i got from them. Not a cowl hood and it is a pin on. But the fit is right out of the box.
You are a little too far from me, here I/we use a place called Mullins Machine Shop, been using them for 25+ years now and never had a bad experience on anything, usually a nice turn around time also, though they don't "specialize" in fords they seem to know what they are doing all the same.
yeah, ive heard stuff about Rollins up here in gainesville, its been both good and bad tho, im just really looking for someone who knows what they are doing, me and my dad were thinking if worst came to worst we would take it up to NJ. were my dads uncle knows some one who specializes in fords... but id rather find someone here due to money restraints...... back to the hood i just Measured it and back near the windsheild is around 4 1/2 inches about half way the scoup is about 3 inches... ill be working on getting the pictures of any flaws and such...
Pictures are up, http://mmb.maverick.to/gallery/showimage.php?i=14606&postid=2688#post2688 there are a few tiny littly pin holes as well which are not easy to take a picture of but i do belive i nice coat of primer should fill them in, they arent bad at all
so on the edges, have you already started to remove the gel coat from the edges or is that how you received it?
i would be alittle pissed off if i paid.there is no reason the gel-coat should be chiped that bad.not saying its hard to fix but thats why alot of guys buy new not used.
