in reference to a Comet it means Gotta Tow because they knew it would eventually become a parts car for a Maverick someday.
How true I bet there are more Mavericks with GT hood scoops then there are Comets with them, not to mention bucket seats, sport mirrors, floor shifters and steering columns
GT/Grand Touring/Grand Turismo refers to a Road Racing class and not Mass Groups of people with cameras roaming around Epcot. Production cars given the GT moniker are is some way fashioned with aspects of the cars in that racing series. IE hood scoops, spoilers, bucket seats, suspension upgrades... Do a google search for GT racing. It will help a lot.
Agreed, nicely put I never liked the GT emblems myself but some people wouldn't have it any other way. It was the first item that came off the back of my 2011 5.0
Dave's Comet was so massively over-powered that it ripped itself in two. As a Comet owner, you get used to that....
