Looking to see what notch Everybody is running on there Hot Air Choke assembly on there 1 barrel YFA carb on a 200 6 cyl... Theres 6 small notches and 1 middle notch in the Center. Then Im Noticing theres Different "step Notches" on the choke throttle screw setting....Ive Never been good at Carberator adjustments.

It depends on your location, warmer climits take less choke, cooler areas take more, with the engine cold, (over night sitting) looses the 3 screws to the choke cap, there are 2 arrows, one says more, the other says less. Start with the center mark, turn in the more direction enough that when you just move the throttle the choke plate goes shut, and has just a little resistance when trying to open it. tighten the screws and start the engine, stay off the throttle, if the engine idles smooth and doesn't load up, and after a few minutes the choke starts to open, you're good to go. Those notches are for how fast or slow you want the engine to idle while the choke is working.
