so i have a ford maverick 1977 an its not turning over its not the starter so any help on this wood be grate
Make sure the connections to the battery are clean. if they are...next step is to check the starter cylinoid located right next to the battery. Can you hear it clicking as you try to start the car?
Is the starter spinning or clicking? Try jumping the solenold with the key on? Motor locked up and won't turn? Rick
Check all your battery cable connections! Terminal ends on the battery, ground cable to the engine block, both solenoid connections, connection to starter, should be taken apart and wire brushed or sanded to clean, bright metal! Happy Thanksgiving
i know basics really its my first car i got it cheep an been working no it so most stuff dont really no but batterys good cause got it like 3 months ago an it was working fine up to 2 days ago then no its just got this weird humming nosie when i start to star it
I would verify that it is the battery. Try the battery in another car and see if it will start that car.
just popped started off cleaned it up an cleaned other stuff put back on an now we got a grinding nosie it sounds like its on passanger side of motor
