Greetings, my 71 Maverick rear springs are nearly level looking with no load at all except the shell, someone down the line allready added the short helpers on the rear of each spring. I am asking has anyone had luck with the full lenth (I think 30" helpers) ? and should I see an arch of some kind or should I look for new springs? New to the Mav world. Thanks
Another option wud be the following link: http://www.generalspringkc.com/index.php?p=catalog&parent=105&pg=1 I have a set on my car, they are bit stiff for me but not to bad. Everyone has a different view of how or what they consider gud ride quality. If I had know this I wud have removed the bottom leaf b4 I put em on. Other than that, the price is right and they shud last a long time. Do a search on the forum on the subject and there other ideas and options u may want to explore...
I was just trying to get by a little more thrifty. $ 270 to my door from General is maby a good deal but I might opt for the Joe Dirt method and see what happens. Thanks All.
Nothing wrong with thrifty. Just don't use air shocks. Those can damage the shock mount structure of the car.
No air here. I wil be looking for just some arch back , a little stiffness for launching without eating tires. As old as these springs are for me it will be more trial and error anyway to find that perfect combo. Cheap but picky.
