Hey my Name is George I am looing at a 72 comet right now and I was just going to ask how hard it is to put a engine and a trans and how much would it cost it's either this or a 94 areostar
Hi George, Welcome from Raleigh. Give some specifics about what engine you're thinking about putting in and what's there now and you'll get some useful feedback. If you're replacing one engine/transmission with an identical pair and doing it yourself it can be not much more than the cost of the engine/transmission.
Thanks for the welcome the car has nothing but it dose have v8 engine mounts and it was set up for a auto so I am thinkg of a 302 and the trans I do not know
If you are looking for a daily driver...I would go with the 94 Aerostar. Especially if it already runs and drives.
Well the aerostar is running but I was thiinking about a 302 and it is set up for auto so I guess the c4
Boo to Craig!!! Aerostars are zero fun!!! I know you're only considering the safety factor here but lots of us have driven Mavericks as daily drivers...and we're still here.
I wasn't considering the "safety factor" at all. Considering the ONLY choices are: A. 1972 Comet with no engine or tranny --OR-- B. 1994 Ford Aerostar (I assumed it already ran and drove) I would take the Aerostar.
pretty soild the shocks are no rust on the frame just litte here and there on the body but it strong's, Also did these come with a radio lol? and thanks for the welcome
