Hello again! Been gone for quite awhile, heart attacks and cancer, but now the Comet is back on the front burner and ready to be worked on.

I checked out the list of suppliers on this forum, but was wondering if there might some more to choose from. I need sheet metal such as toe boards, floor pans, quarter panels, etc, etc. Mostly, I would like to know if there are suppliers that should be avoided. If you don't feel comfortable bashing a supplier in a post, feel free to email me directly at dmsopp@gmail.com . At one time I belonged to a British car forum where no one was allowed to comment on any suppliers since those same suppliers were sponsors of the forum. I wasted thousands of dollars on crap parts before I found the reputable suppliers:mad::mad::mad:. I need to avoid that with the Comet since the health issues wiped me out financialy:cry:.

Thank you in advance for any assistance,
    Sopp

Floor pans aren't reproduced, most use early Mustang parts and make them fit. The quarters are made by one manufacture so find the best price and go with them. I bought mine form American Muscle Car Parts (I think that's their name), they had the best price and great service. There are torque boxes on e-bay and the trunk drops are repopped as well.

I think Autokrafters sells torque boxes and other sheet metal. Most of the sheet metal parts I have gotten I get from the members here, doors, fenders and such.
Just put the word out on the classifieds section here, Im sure we all have what you need. Welcome Back Bro, the "Grimm Reaper" can "STICK IT!!!!":clap::clap::dance::cheers::Ifireworks::grpnanadance:

Thanks for the replies. I've started looking for a doner car to cut the entire rear quarter off of, inner fender, tail light area, etc, etc. I'll also need a roof skin, so maybe a whole car ( sorta ) from a salvage yard will be the best way to go.

Grimm Reaper ain't gonna get me:thumbs2:
    I've beat him several times:dance:

Good idea...I have a donor car on blocks next to my 73 2 dr. Very handy to have a donor on site.

    Live Long and Prosper;)
