    Just got mine. It confirms that my car was from Jordan ford san antonio just as the trunk sticker that was on my car. My car has the temp sensor in the Pass. A pillar I believe it was Craig that mentioned it was a California device in another thread. HAd me wondering about car origin. Now we know it was used outside of cali.
    Report is nothing exciting as I knew it wouldnt be, but its cool to finally have the info on hand. Mine would have been your cookie cutter mass produced grocery getter.

    I specifically meant why did a Texas car get it. Found the answer:

    1972 Mavericks and Comets manufactured for sale in California equipped with a 302 V8 and automatic transmission, and all 200 six-cylinder models equipped with automatic transmission are equipped with an Electronic Spark Control System.

    They must have done away with it by 73, mine was sold new in Cali.
