    Hi to everyone out there, I have just registered and very new to the forum concept and find myself wondering if I'm in the right forum. I own a little old girl and she's a Ford Maverick 1988 model and I noticed at the top of my page it says Maverick 1970-1979, what happened to my girl's year?:huh:

    "The Ford Maverick was introduced to the world on April 17, 1969, five years to the day of the introduction of the Ford Mustang and the only new car to achieve similar sales success. The Maverick was joined by its mechanical twin the Comet in 1971. Other Maverick Models followed, the Grabber ('71-'75), Stallion ('76), a four door sedan ('71-'77), the Sprint ('72), Comet GT ('71-'75), and the Comet four door sedan ('71-'77).

    Production of the Maverick and Comet came to an end in 1977 when Ford introduced the Fairmont and Mercury Zephyr, the first of the Fox platform cars. Total Maverick & Comet production came to 2,586,675 cars."

    I'm not sure you'll find much info pertaining to your particular vehicle here. I'm assumuing yours is small offroad SUV, since you're in Austrailia.

    Since you are in Australia, you have a re-badged Nissan SUV, this site is about the other Maverick, build in North America, and Brazil. :)
