Hey in California you're smog exempt if the vehicle is from 1975 or older...but my question is my vehicle is registered in Florida currently, will I have to get a inspection when I transfer the registration to cali?? 1973 maverick.
Same situation I have a similar issue, may be moving to the San Diego area. Will they do a visual inspection. If so what will they be looking for, anything smog related?
75 and older are smog exempt. there are no inspections. just take your registration and licence plates to the DMV or the AAA if you have it or you can goto one of the many private places that do registration.
yeah i wish utah had smog exemption laws the only thing that we can do here is put vintage automobile plates on a car 30 years old or older and it makes you exempt from inspections and emmissions but you can't use the car as your daily transportation at that point.
i did discover that to transfer title on an out of state car you have to bring the car for vin verification before they will issue plates.
