Craig, the weather could not have been better, mid 70's during the day and sunny skies with a few clouds to keep the heat down. Two years ago was the year of the snowman. I had an icicle about 6 inches long hanging from my front fender. First time I ever drove to a show while it was snowing! Some years, you have to REALLY want to be there!! This year was perfect, though. Drove home with the top down on the Cougar. Life is good when you live in Florida in January!! Jim
Life is good ! I hear yall ,great pictures .Man i hate missing that one. Was there about 6 years ago loved that show ,the maverick people was so friendly then.
here is the link to hot rod hot line's 2012 silver springs show... http://www.hotrodhotline.com/feature/2011show/ford_and_mustang_round_up_jan_7/
Thanks for the link guys. I did'nt see any Comets/Mav'z in the Gallery. However, that looks like my kind of gathering. I like the grass and trees - my kind of venue. This show is similiar to a Blue Oval show here in the surrounding area, sponsored by the Northern Mustang Corral Car Club the first Sunday of August. I did'nt go this past yr cuz it rained. The show is a one day event and draws somewhere like 750 -1000 cars. I hated to miss it. I am almost sorry I viewed it - makes me want to get the car out and go hangout w/ some of the local KRUIZERS. Not hardly w/ 6" snow on the ground and hi temp today of abt 21.
If you ever get a chance to take a car to Silver Springs, try to stay away from parking near the Giraffes....they have bad gas!!!
There was one of those Mustero's on eBay a few weeks ago. Story was that they were a conversion done in Cali back in the day.
I was searching for more pics from Silver Springs today and found this on the web... Shots of Mavericks ....
