Wiper Switch Knob

    I'm really embarassssssed to ask this, but, on a '72 Comet, how do you get the knob off the wiper switch????? I don't want to break it. All the rest of the dash is completely strip down to be painted.

    there is a tab in the knob. i use a L shaped pic and push the tab in from the back side of the knob to slide it off.

    Aw yes, now I remember. I have a very tiny allen wrench that I have used in the past to do that. Amazing what a mind can forget when it's not been used in years.
