I love it. Did it yourself huh?? That is a great looking car!! If you dont like the orange peel you can sand her down and buff it. Remember, these cars had some pretty good orange peel from the factory.

Big improvement. What kind of paint did you use? You can usually wet sand and buff the orange peel out. Black is always a good color on a Mav. (y)

the paint is the cheapest stuff i could find. its a brand that dupont bought out. its called Nason fulcryl 2. its only enamel with hardener, no clear coat. yeah i could sand the orange peel, but it takes your eyes off of my other mess ups. cant see all the bondo as well. it took about 1 year from start to finsh on the body. i started in agust of 2003. i think it turned out pretty good. especialy for what i was working with. im glad you guys like it. i havnt had to many people say it looked bad. i guess thats somthing to be proud of.

Looks good. I am going to do the same thing with a 72 grabber I am working on. I plan on using it as a daily driver anyway so it wont have to be perfect. If i ever finish these cowls where I can get on the rest of the bodywork. i will probably try to paint it this summer. Nice Job Be proud

thanks lots guys... this is also a daily driver, as long as i can keep gas in the tank. yesterday i went and picked up those pictures and it was raining. i didnt care that much. oh yeah the "sheet metal thing". my frame around my bumper mounts was all rusted away and i didnt feel like fixing it, or putting the gargantuan thing back on the car. so the sheet metal is simply a space filler. then in the middle i used a chuck of 3/16 steel i got at the junk yard, and alowed more air to my radiator. i was happy with how it turned out.
