I was a bit suprised by the low numbers the dyno came up with today, but oh well. I thought they would be higher considering the times I ran this summer.
The red number is the baseline and the blue is the result of several sets of jets and a squirter change. We played with timing too, but apparantly I had it dead on. It lost power either way we went.
    Here's the summary sheet.
Great way to spend 135.00 Totally worth it I think.(y)
After the Dyno, I went and weighed my car. 2840lbs

    p.s.
Last time I went to the dyno with the old camshaft and carburetor the best I could squeak out of it was 241hp.

Depending on tranny and rear end, that puts you in the 385 to 400 HP range at the flywheel. That ain't bad. (y)

Did the weight of the car include the driver?

    Chassis dyno.
I run an accel super coil. the big ugly yellow one. I don't think it's holding me back any.
Terry- yep that's with me in it.

Some great numbers Ray, and a nice increase for some minor changes, Virtual Engine calculator says 389 hp at the flywheel with your best mph and and car weight.
I need to find a dyno around here...well worth it.

Geez fellas. you want me to tip my hand huh?
    It's a .060 over 302 (310.7) with about 11:1 compression.
Performer RPM heads, Victor Jr. intake, 650 dp holley
The camshaft on this card. http://mmb.maverick.to/attachment.php?attachmentid=3775
Trans is a c4 with a 3200 stall converter that seems to be flashing at about 2900, 4.11 gears uuhhh that's about all I can think of right now.

A simple yet effective combo. Just curious, do you have any overheating issues with that much of an overbore?

It gets warm in traffic, but only on hot days and when I've been driving a while. I need to upgrade the radiator and use a better electric fan.

Just a suggestion, if you get a chance, try a 750 carb and with the cam numbers I read, maybe go to a 4000 stall and 56 or 86 gears. Don't know how you launch or 60ft times, but I bet a Air gap rpm manifold on top would shoot you out of the hole in a hurry. All depends on type of racing and tires you use too. Looks like a winner either way.

Dave I've been thinking all summer a bit more stall would be nice and I plan to put in a proform main body at some point. they flow 750cfm according to them.
I think the RPM airgap manifold would be going backward for me on the top end. I'm making good torque for such a little motor. I'm afraid the couple of footpounds I'd pick off would trade off a bunch of top end. My best '60 was 1.76, so there's definately room for improvement there. I think the answer is in tires and converter. every run I've made has been on tires right around 28" tall. too much for my car. I think some 26's will wake it up on the small end.
    Still learnin'! (y)
