I finally got around to uploading a picture I took after I went to the drag strip last Friday night. I did pretty mild burnouts all night, I think this is mainly from my 3rd run, where I decided not to do a burnout, and proceeded to spin the right tire half way down the track!
Man I wish I hadn't decided not to take my video camera with me! :slap:

Overall was a bit of a disappointing night. Tranny isn't shifting right so I'm losing alot of time going into 3rd, and the 3.0 open diff is killing my launches. I didn't build the car to race anyway, just like to have some fun with it at the track once in a while. :bananaman

I know all about the wheelspin down the track! Mine spun over half of the track too. Basically the same setup as your car. But ain't it fun???? Congrats on your progress!! Preston

I get this undercoating also. Is this material from my tires, or from leftover burnout from someone else's slicks? Also, is this doing damage to my paint? What is the safest way to get it off without damaging the paint? I did the same burnout (but with both tires) on my Hemi Dodge, and it didn't want to come off the paint without a good heavy brushing.

    Suggestions?

Scooper, even though it's been awhile since I'v3e been to the track, I always found it helpful to just smear Vaseline on the quartwers. The rubber sticks to the Vaseline instead of the paint. Then you just wash it off with soap and water. This is alot easier on the paint than brushing, too.
