The mav is gone but i'm still here!
If you look at part 3 there seems to be a small rust hole, who knows what under all that paint.

Rust repair is not cheap you should let him know that and get a straight trade.

Honestly, it sounds like he's wanting to sell you the Maverick for $2500.00 and get your Mustang for free out of the deal.

I wouldn't do it. I would offer the $2500.00 ONLY if there was NO TRADE on the Mustang and you wanted the Maverick more than any other car. Other than that, it would be a MUCH LOWER price, if any cash traded hands at all!

Honestly if he won't budge on the price I would walk away and keep looking, there are other Mavericks out there!

That Maverick was for sale a while back for $3500 on here IIRC. The guy that has [had] it got it from his uncle in Maplesville. It sat on the side of US 82 a long time for sale with no takers.

Seems like the guys name was fiesta or something like that, he was also into fiesta fords.

I'm thinking it had it's own problems. I'd trade straight across, no boot if it was me....

Straight across. Cowls, floor pans and wheel lips are probably a giant mess too, especially if the hood lip rot is this bad. Id be suprised if you didnt get tetanus from lifting the hood haha.

Assuming he didnt do any rust/body work.

Just keep your eye open all the time for mav's if that what you want. They always pop up.

So basically the mustang needs a new motor tranny paint interior tires it doesn't run sounds bad to me i don't care how it used to run it aint running now so trade for the maverick at least you can drive it your not in california so i doubt people would be dumb enough to give a ridiculous price for it in this economy
