Howdy. I'm installing a set of cal tracs. The rear eye bushings (rubber) 4 per side, are in great condition. Does any1 know weather it is recomended to use rubber or urathane bushings. If urathane, do you have a part #. Thks Ron(y)

Calvert's actually recommends using aluminum front bushings...and you can order them from Calvert Racing website. Don't think it really matters on the rear ones...

The aluminum front bushings came with mine. Isn't that part of the kit when you purchase them?

Yes, it comes with the kit when you order them. But, if you purchase cal-tracs from someone used, which a lot of people do, they usually don't want to take the front bushings out. I think they were like $40 for the pair when I bought mine.

Max you are rite about alum bushings. I used new aluminum bushings, on the front, supplied by seller. I was wondering about the rear rubber bushings in the rear spring shackles.

Frank: howdy. I will let all know how it worked out with my home made bushing extractor. Talked with John Calvert for almost 2 hrs about setting up the Cal-tracs. What a great person to talk to. treated me like he new me for years. Just amazing man:thumbs2:

John is a great guy and really loves racing. He brought my Caltracs to me at Firebird raceway during the Nationals there a couple of years ago. And then offered me his pit scooter to take them out to the parking lot.

Frank, all I have are the basics. If you go to http://4secondsflat.com/CalTracs.html They give you the installation and basic setup. After that It's trial and error. You have to scroll all the way to the bottom for the instal.:)

John c said I will have to make small adj until it hooks good. He said start with tire pressure.Thats all I can do rite now till March 4th when I see my buddy.:)
