I am the owner of a 1976 Maverick. The car was a barn find in Flemingsburg, Ky. Originally white with a six cylinder and a rust hole the size of a nickle in the drivers side rear quarter. floor pans perfect, trunk floor perfect. One of the most solid little mavericks id run across. Doors shut solid like a new car. some slight pitting on top of front and rear bumpers. Since purchasing I have replaced six banger with 306, and a built c4 with a hurst shifter, new headers, exhaust, flowmasters, weld wheels, new tach, gauges, a little cam 541 lift, aluminum intake, Holley 650, and a 411 rear gear sanded primed, blocked, and primed again. Just trying to decide on a paint color at this time. Also if anyone knows where i can get a grabber rear spoiler I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for letting me join your forum, and I hope to get to know you all in the future. any advise, tech tips, very welcome as this is my first maverick!
Welcome to the board. Best advice I can give you is to go to the thread on the MCG Gathering (2012 MCG Gathering itinerary)in July in Somerset, KY. Lots of Mavericks and Comets there.
welcome to the site! im in somerset which is about 3 hours south of you.. like stated above were hosting a mav/comet gathering here again this summer, you should come on down and check it out. we've also got the title as the "car cruise capital of kentucky" because of Somernites Cruise, if you havent ever been you should check it out too
Thanks for the warm welcome! will definetly be going to the Somerset gathering. I will post pics soon.. I love when I fire up the little old Maverick and small children cling to their Mothers! LOL
