hey, I have a 76 inline 250 and just need to know what the stock alternator voltage is as well if anyone knows what size the rear end is, Just got my maverick back after my dad borrowing it for three years and he thrashed it so I am trying to get it back to solid, any help with this stuff would be awesome thanks
Alternator voltage??? it outputs 12 Volts DC.... Rear end is 8" 5 lug. The rear gear in the rear end can be read on a little metal tag on the rear axle center section. no what I am referring to is if I wanna replace the voltage regulator and they ask what alternator do I have a 61 amp or whatever. My car is all stock so I was wondering what it is?
Just tell them the highest amp they offer. Lot of them came with very low amp alternators such as 37 or 45 but the higher the better. Your car will handle it.
