Neil, I know how old you are. Just wait until you are pushing 40, and
whatever the equivalent of 20 inch wheels, aluminum shelf wings, vibratory noise boxes, neon lights underneath, splash graphics, and whatever else is 'in' at that time annoys you and you will know what many of us feel.

Geez, I sound like my Dad. I remember walking around with him at car shows when I was 10 and hearing him refer to Cragars on a 57 Ford with 'I wouldn' have those things on that car....'

Your car's great Seth. I wasn't really talking about that, I was just saying what excites me personally with my own mav. I guess it's just an individual thing. Soem people like to discuss the nuances of tweed or some other intereior, when I personally would probably just rip it all out and reupholster my seats in black leather. I think there's a range of people from strict factory restorers all the way up to guys who chop the hell out of their cars, I'd like to think I'm somewhere in the middle. The beauty of the whole thing is we really don't have to impress anyone else with what we do, we just have to like it.

Didn't 71's just have the grille with the medallion and no signal lights? Also, i thought all grabbers got the "chrome" tail light trim. Even then I doubt ford would take the extra time to tape off the raised tail light panel on the rear for the black stripe just for a few cars.

I might have to raise my BS flag on this one.

The only thing I see questionable is the paint scheme on the taillight panel ... Everything else is correct for a 71 Grabber ...

I ordered my first '74 Maverick Grabber new. Tinted windows (complete) was an option, recommended with A/C. I believe you could order just the windshield tinted only. I ordered tinted windows complete but no A/C. Air was a $384 option. I just couldn't afford it with a 302/auto Deluxe int/buckets floor shift, AM/FM Stereo P/stering D/brakes. The Maverick Grabber I have now has both tinted (complete) A/C but no FM! Darn!

He might be hoping be he wont...16 hours left and its at $11,600 and reserve hasn't been met. I was thinkin 12 grand maybe...it's nice but that "one-of-a-kind' moniker is stretchin it a little.

Hmmmm, I don't feel so bad about what I have tied up in mine if
    it was bid over $12K.
