I got on this site back in 07 when I had started on the car and then got into building my truck and let my poor first baby sit all these years. Its a 72 Maverick grabber that my cousin got new off the showroom floor and has been in the family ever since. Im going at this car in full force now and have the motor and tranny rebuilt and just sitting to go in te car at this point. Car is being sanded right now and motor compartment is primered and ready for paint then the motor and tranny can go it so I can fire it. As soon as I can post pics I will. There are a few things I need to try and find such as a new front bumber, front and rear spoiler. She has 17in Shelby corba replicas on her (17x7 fronts, 17x9.5 rears with a set of 275x40 mickey thompson et radials) and will be sitting on all fours tucked in with a slight rake.
Welcome to the board. There is a couple guys on here from Tucson, and many more inthe Phoenix area. We just had a Dyno Day Meet yesterday in Goodyear, Az. Had 7 Mavericks, a couple Mustangs, and a great time. You maigh thave to drive up here sometime for one of our events.
Yea this has been a project car for way to long and I can't wait to get her back on the road. I hardly ever see these cars and almost never at shows. I have family and friends up in Phoenix so I will definitely have the car up there. I can't wait to meet up with some people that have a maverick....
