The only way to tell what vehicle any engine was installed in at the factory is via a thin metal tag affixed to the carb bowl. The casting number only tells you what vehicle line the engineering costs were assigned to and what year the part went into production. For instance, the heads used on the 87-95 5.0 HO Mustangs were truck heads (E7TE). The blocks in these cars were assigned a T-Bird casting number. (E6SE and F1SE)
well i got my flexplate and put it on and no vibration..... guess that clean spot that was on the old flexplate was where the weight was... i talked to the guy i got the engine from (which was 3-4 years ago) and he said the vibration didnt bother him... but like i said by him running that engine with all that vibration would it have messed up something that im going to have to tackle in the future????
i wonder how long he drove it... I installed a wrong flexplate once and you couldn't hold onto the steering wheel it shook so bad...
