Hi, my name is Megan. I recently bought a 1974 Maverick and I am attempting to actually learn about it. My husband and I are going to slowly restore it. It's mostly my project and I am not the most savvy car woman but I plan to be. My 97 Camry recently bit the dust and I was in desperate need of a car. I knew most people keep classics to drive on the weekends but when I saw this one on a car lot full of 'now a days' cookie cutter cars I wanted it. It was the oldest yet most gorgeous car there. I fell in love. I've never cared to learn a thing about cars... but now I am completely motivated! It was amazing what this car has done to me, my family is amazed, they can't believe I even know what it is. hope to be around soon in discussion. Car is in the shop for a tune up today and by this afternoon we should have a list of priorities.
From Northeast Pennsylvania You would be surprised how many lady Maverick/Comet owners there are now or have been on this site
Megan, welcome, these older cars are great. Some of the parts are hard to find. Maybe as long as we keep working with these cars ,They will help us with parts. The technology is so much better now. Work with it girl!
