The belly bar? Connects both sides of the frame below the engine to help stiffen up the uni-body. One big bolt threaded into the frame on each side of it to remove it. Save the bolts as they are unique to the design.

The other V8 item is a transmission crossmember that supports the tranny. Special from the I-6 as it has 2 humps for the dual exhaust.

Hope this helps. Have fun at the junk yard!

I don't have a pic handy, but that pretty much describes it. Round tubing bent into a short u shape and flat on the ends and slightly flat in the middle to clear the inner tie rods. Other Fords do not fit the Maverick as the frame width is different.

He probably meant to upload a picture of the transmission cross member, but forgot to attach it to the post.

If you've used the picture on another post before it will not let you upload it again.
The forum does that for some reason.

Forum does that to save bandwidth and prevent duplicate uploads ... if it is already uploaded someplace here, just paste a link to it using the picture link (mountain and sun) ....... [IMG]

That's what I figured, I just host them on another site to not waste the forums bandwidth/storage space :Handshake

There's a guy on here that makes some, he also sells OEM ones for cheap.
Check out the for sale section.
