imagine if the 6cylinder got a hemispherical head, that would have been awesome.

I've heard about the DOHC the aussie engines got at the very end of their falcon 6 run, but i've never seen pictures of the combustion chamber.

I'm sure they could easily make 300-350HP on a mild NA setup.

A lot of years ago there was a drag racer that took some Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, cut them in pieces and welded them back together to go on the Ford 6cyld. He had the motor in a Falcon and it was turning in the 11's and this was 10/15 years ago.

Do the 240/300 share the same head bolt pattern as the 302?

I know the Falcon six 170-250 small sixes don't.
But they do share the pattern with the tempo 4 cylinder, I've also heard of somebody chopping two of those heads then brazing them together.

The tempos had a HSC head available which has the same idea as the twisted trick flow heads where they swirl the fuel mixture in.

I remember that! That was a pretty cool setup from what I do remember, but I don't remember any specifics about it.(y)

Yes, dirt track guys have been doing this kind of thing forever and so have drag racers...............and it goes back to the 30's and 40's when they were modifing Ford 4cylds with special one off heads.................although this is not a Ford it will give you an idea what has to be done to modify V8 heads
to fit a 6cyld.....................I even think back in the day they used to use Cleveland heads (cut up of course) and put them on Ford 300ci six's.
With the right tools/time/money you can do anything!

I remember that Bruce Sizemore used three 351C heads, cut into 6 different sections, to make a 6 cyl head. He was in the high 9's with over 500 hp with this setup. http://1bad6t.com/pdf/HowToBuild500hpSixCylinder.pdf
