hello i just found this great forum, i am from mexico and ai have a ford maverick it has suffered a lot of changes since its original red colour , first it was painted with a nice violet colour with purple stripes, we ,made a fiber glass modification to the rear and we remove the rear bumper, 4 months ago we changed the color of the maverick to a bright green with another type of stripes , re do the interior and bought some performance parts for the 302 engine, edelbrock manifold, 650 edelbrock carburator, camshaft , headers, did some work on the heads, pistons and valves, my maverick is 1974 and i am thinking to do the slim bumper swap , i just bought the bumper with its brackets now i just need to find a 70-72 valance and the deflector , i have been searching for more than 2 years for a grabber hood, i almost bought an original one for almost 1000 dlls and the guy selling it backed up and cancelled the sale, i think it is the most difficult part to find nowadays, the mav its still under work and will be ready soon ill try to upload some pics of its purple color and its green color best regards hope to share some points of view with you guys ! sorry for my bad english
from Northeast Pennsylvania I see that your car has no side marker lights in the fenders. I'm used to see that on the Mavericks that are down in Brazil but don't you need them in Mexico or did you just cover them all up?
yep we remove them and cover the spots, im thinking in putting them back in the fenders, what do you think?
