Do all Mavericks have stars at each end of the VIN number that is stamped into the body under the drivers side fender? I don't remember if my Grabber had them or not but I did notice them on the 1969.5 I have here.
Your talking on the inner fender. I was thinking VIN plate which is F's. I do remember mine having those stars when I pulled the fenders.
Yeah just curious, my first Maverick, the one I rolled and totaled, is the only 69.5 I have had, until now.
Talking about the stars, Ford has done this since the begining. My 1931 Model had them on the frame and the original motor, although they were not called VIN numbers back then. The reason people buy original titles here in California is to get the number and stamp it on the frame/body to prove to DMV so they can license it as an original year Ford.
I give up... you all win I will sale my maverick for the first 1600 dollar offer, at a loss. Who could afford to buy parts, when competing with money bags like you guys...
That roadster body is a NOS Wescott 32 Ford that my dad found on HAMB last week. This body was built by Wescott in 1979 and sat in a shop since.
That's pretty cool, I used to live 10 minutes away from his shop. Here is a picture of a friends Wescott bodied 32...........with a very healthy ole Cleveland.
If I could ever afford cars like that, I never would of found out about mavericks... so I guess i I want some 20's-40's roadsters.
