I found one in the weeds down here. Ive been tempted to knock on the owners door and see if its for sale. Those were scary little boogers back in the day. Ralph Nader Hated them.

Aren't those a non interference engine? I've had a couple, built a couple, but can't remember. I was thinking, belt breaks, go get one, re-time it, put it back together, ride another 50,000 miles.....

Lets not forget the stigma of being a fire bomb. That hurt new/ re-sale value on em...One more reason you dont find em every day...

I believe , that rust claimed many of them. It seems that I remember seeing many of them rust, before their time.

Wish I could find a nice Pinto body. I've got a 4.0 V6 & 5 speed out of a 99 Ranger that would be a hoss in one of those cars!

That's a handfull of Pinto! Over my budget!

That 72 Maverick has been for sale for over a year. Don't think he'll get his price.

I'd almost be willing to bet that 74 Maverick is the one my buddy had. He sold it for less than that. It needs floorpans, grill, fenders, and a few other things. It is a factory V8, ps, ac, auto, bench seat car. It would be a good start for somebody.

Really, I've got more projects now than I can handle-the Vette, the 36 Dodge, the 82 pickup, plus the Mav. I hope all get done, sooner or later. Just takes time and money, seems like I either have one or the other, not both at the same time!

I hear you, on the time or money but not both at the same time :bouncy:

Yeah only one I was even interested in was the 74 but if it needs a floor pan.. not so much. I missed a 74 grabber here for 1000 now the guy is on craigs to replace everything in it to the 71-72 style. :D

My car needs, a lot ... making me wonder if it would be easier to find another and use this as a part car. Not sure.. yet.

I got a camera so tomorrow I should have some better pics of my car up.:bananaman
