if it is a grabber the vin will start with 93 instead of a 91(except for 1970)

Actually.....it doesn't START with those numbers.

The 3rd and 4th digits of the VIN will be a 93.

If the 5th digit of the VIN is an "F".....it is a Factory V-8 car.

Engine has nothing to do with it. MOST Grabbers were 6 cyl cars.

does the car still have stripes on it?

Most grabbers were 6 cylinder cars. And only the 71 and 72 came with the so called Grabber hood. All other years were the plain hood. Grabber was really only an appearance package.:)

The only thing I liked about the grabber package was that awesome louver hood (y) Not to sure about the rear spoiler... as its kinda a mini spoiler at best.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
The only "grabber" thing about it would be the stripes! I'd take a factory V8 car over a 6cyl 74-75 grabber any day!

Heck my standard model maverick had more option than the grabber one for that year.

What? I have a 74 with every option in the book, except A/C.
