Ah... so learning how to properly handle the stall is the key to it all of the converter? If that is so...I could still do the wide tire street legal slicks..
Hey Blown! How did your transmission temperatures play with that stall on the street? Did you have any issues with burning your fluid? How big was your trans cooler?
Thats what i would like to do on my car. I like the ol' skool look of skinny Centerlines on the front and wide ones on the rear!
I wouldent worry too much about a converter you have a stock 6cyl.Stall converters only come into play when engine modifications have moved the torque curve higher in the rpm range.
:16suspect Yeah I think I will pass on upgrading my motor for awhile.. as still getting use to the whole manual steering .. drum brakes and no rpm gauge thing. Oh and driving a ford...
seems this thread is way off topic..if i went with 165/80/14..would it be similar? would the 1" rim difference really change much? i cant remember what i have on the front right now but they're worn out and i wish they were taller.
I would blame myself for how far threads get off topic but everyone else always follows me down the side tracks.. :bananaman
I will do my best to avoid random tangents...unless I start the threads.. I swear... at least if I haven't been drinking... no promises then
