    Scooper,

Good Luck on getting 70k miles, I'd be satisfied with 50k on mine.

I guess if you wanna play, you gotta pay...:D

The tires for the wifes Grand Cherokee, 245/70/15, were just a touch over $400 installed with a lifetime rotation and balance agreement.

Heck, the tires on the Vette 275?/45/18 are less than $200 each. Good thing about them is they won't be replaced very often because it's not a daily driver.

Again, no way will I buy a pickup with anything larger than a 17" tire, and probably not any bigger than a 16".

My semi takes a 295/70/22.5, and I can get those for $300 a piece.

I can get tires cheaper, but even the $200 tires I have been buying are crapped out after 45000 miles. I think I got 55000 out of one set of Goodyears, the first set that came on the truck.

But 3x,000 miles is HORRIBLE for any tire.

So it is worth it to me to pay more and (hopefully) not have to replace them again in two years.

Man, you post a lot of nonsense, which is somewhat against the rules.

Really? You've high jacked more than one post in the last few days, I'm trying to be polite. Some of us have been here over 10 years now. Just read the rules, and you'll be fine.

Some people don't care about tires. I used to buy cheap USED tires just to get me through. After several blowouts, tossed treads, etc, I have learned to spend wisely on tires. Too much riding on them...

Sometimes, when you toss a tread or have a blowout, you only do damage to the car, bent fender etc. Sometimes it can be worse.
