I cruised up to the Ford dealership near my house Saturday to see if they had an 05 Mustang in yet. When I pulled in I saw one of the radio station vans was there and they were broadcasting. I decided to cruise by them nice and slow so they could hear my exhuaust. When I got out of the car I heard him talking on the air and he said something about the "73 Maverick that just pulled in here". After I looked at the '05, I walked over to the tent they were broadcasting from they all started asking about my car and what was in it and stuff (I thought it was funny they were suprised when I said it was a 77). I know my car isn't really much to look at, but I was just eating it up because my car has never gotten that kind of attention before. :bananaman :bananaman
That rules Funny my car was on the news once. I was passing by a news reporter doing a report on widening a street. I guess it was a live feed as you could tell she was irritated with my loud exhaust. I had 4 people call me at the shop the next day to tell me about it. I never saw it.
That's really neat!! My exhaust is famous in this area........but it's famous with the wrong crowd. The Police. They don't care for it much. I basically get followed around when they see me on the streets. But it's okay, I can go slow when it's absolutely necessary! I haven't had that problem Preston, but I know every time I pass a cop I feel the need to coast. I was really paranoid when I had the glasspacks on it.
When I brought my 77 to the local dealership last year, all the mechanics quit working and came out and looked it over. I was in at the parts counter, so I never got to talk to any of 'em, but they were talking about it as they came back in the building.

I was at a Mercedies Benz dealer the other day, parked our 71 Grabber beside a Compressor. 2 and 3 hundred thousand dollar cars and they came out to see our Grabber. What an awsome feeling.
Speaking of the 05 mustang... my friend (car wiz and lover) went the first day they had the 05 at the ford dealer (a few weeks ago). When talking to the man on the showroom floor... he said that the car came in 10min ago... and it sold in 5min. Yes the car was already sold... but then the old man said "I am going to do something for you the salesman did for me when I was a kid". My friend didn't understand... the man asked if he was clean, he said yes. He opened the door and said "hop in". Yes the sales man actually let my friend (note we are 15) sit in the car and pretend he was driveing... and it was already sold to someone! It's amazing I thought they would be like $35 grand but base is only $26 grand I believe... allright enough offtopic
That's pretty cool!! I need to go check out the '05 too. I also want to check out the Ford GT that the dealer here in town is getting. Yep, he won a lottery among Ford dealers, and just as soon as the security upgrades are made, HE GETS ONE!! AND I'M GONNA GO SEE IT!! BUWAAHAHAHAHA AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME!!!
