What about the chrome trim that joins the bottom end of the boomerang? Runs along the top of the quarterpanel just below the window. Was that standard or an option? Mine doesn't have it, but i saw some for sale a while back for around $75.00. Looks really nice in the pic...

If your car never came with that chrome piece, the bottoms of your boomerangs are rounded off at the end where they meet the quarter panels. If you want to add that chrome piece you need to find the boomerangs that are squared off to match up with that chrome piece :)

Yes, they are rounded off as you described! They don't look bad that way but the chrome trim does look nice...

Also, that same style chrome trim continues, from the quarter panel, across the top of the doors too :)

Wow, that does look nice! Was that an LDO option? I thought my original, dearly departed 1974 had the LDO since it had the reclining buckets, AC, power steering. etc., but I don't recall it having that trim. Course it was a 4 door, so ...

Yes, that is a ldo in that picture. They came with the wide molding down the side with the vinyl trim insert and the extra chrome along the bottom of the windows. The 77 ldo that I had also had the reclining bucket seats that are now in my car with new upolstery. :tiphat:
