I'm finishing up the wiring on my Maverick and I've run into the issue that I have no idea where these two wires go. They both come from the engine wiring harness. As far as I can tell, the others are right where they belong. I have the oil pressure/temp and coolant temp sensors hooked up and the ignition wires hooked up, but I can't for the life of me tell what these last two are for.
I did a little research on the forums and my best guess is either the electric choke or neutral safety switch (doesn't seem likely as it's not even close to being long enough to reach the tranny). If anyone can help at all, it would be greatly appreciated.

If it is the choke, how can I make it work with an edelbrock performer 600? The little round connecter is not at all long enough to reach and the clippy one doesn't have a place to plug in to. Once again, thanks in advance. You guys are the greatest!

I think the second one is for the ac compressor. First one no clue.

I'd have to go out and look, one could be idle solenoid, and the other electric choke.

Are you sure? I suppose it's possible the previous owner just removed it, but I've never seen so much as a hint of AC being hooked up to my car. Is there anything in the vin that would let me know?

Just going by appearance and past experience here...Its possible the AC was removed at some point. Common practice was and still is to use one wire harness for all versions of a particular car. So ac wireing is there but the car never had it. New cars are like this more often than not...Thats why you find plugs in cars that appear to serve no purpose.

If your Maverick didn't have factory AC...it wouldn't have the AC wiring harness.

I agree with Dave (DDB)...looks like a electric choke plug.
