    What do you guys think of something like this? I'm going to build one for my car soon and I was curious as to what others thought or felt about it. If there's enough appeal I may start producing them for our cars and others.

    The rh side is a combination speedometer and tach. The 3 digits in the center display speed, and the arc of red rectangles is a bargraph tach. The 3 yellow circles are an adjustable shift light. Everything lights up and the whole cluster will be black when the car is off.

    Looks good, would be nice to have all of the info in those two "pods" instead of an extra tach, temp and oil gauge etc!

    They would be made one at a time

    I know. I hate gauge pods and gauges stuffed everywhere. Gotta have the info though. I like to keep a clean look.

    Here's a prototype that's currently installed. It's a tachometer only. This was actually before I calibrated it so don't believe those numbers.

    I'm reasonably sure I can keep the price down to very competitive with a full set from Autometer.

    Possibly. The problem is the LED displays are hard to find in a color other than red with sufficient brightness.
