4 speed ???

    Is the 4 speed in an early 80's mustang cobra any count? It's a 4 banger turbo car. Would it hold to a mild 302?

    I once had a 1982 Mustang GT, that came from the factory with that transmission and 302 2V.
    The way it felt when I shifted it, reminded me of a Pinto transmission. It wasn't smooth, at all. I don't believe you'll be doing much speed shifting with it. Nor do I believe it could or would hold up to such. But, it should hold up under normal driving.:tiphat:
