Are the left and right exhaust manifolds similar in design? I'm looking at some on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Ford-Mustang-302-V8-Original-Exhaust-Manifolds-/270979860257?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1968|Make%3AFord&hash=item3f17a88721&vxp=mtr they look to be similar in design. Looking at the ones for sale via the Maverick/Comet Forums for sale board, the left and right sides look different. Thank you, AK Maverick
Those might be for a 302 but the design is not specific for a Mav?Comet.. I would bet they might not fit because ours are flatter as you may have noticed.
I was afraid of that, finding that Maverick parts are harder to find these days. Thanks for the advice Blugene.
The drivers side Maverick manifold points down at an angle. I think those would run the exhaust straight into the firewall, probably not enough room for them to turn down then...
I was wondering about that, I did notice the difference in the photos. There are some on the Forum for sale, but there pretty spendy. Plus shipping to AK is going to kill me. Thank you for the input. Does anybody know the part #'s I should be looking for?
i have a set from a lincon town car i would sell but i got my self some hooker headders pn# 6901 there low sweeping
From a Lincoln town car? Would the fit? Did you put the 6901's on yet? How hard were they to install? I had one heck of a time taking the old ones off. Ended up cutting them off with a sawsall.
Says sale pending but it's said that for a while now. Might ask.. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=86065
