I'm going to take the engine and trans out of the parts car.Right now I'm taking all the weight off the engine I can, also I'm going to cut the radiator support out. Any ideas on where to hook my lifting chains to on the engine?
    200 engine.......thanks

There should be 2 loops attached to the head for removing the engine. And you shouldn't need to cut the rad support to get it out.

reason for removing radiator support is it's a parts car and I believe I wont have to raise the engine and trans so high to get them out, thanks(y)
checked engine for pull loops didn't see any also checked the other engine no loops, these are 72 models if that make a difference

They should all have the loops for the engine craine unless someone removed them. If im not mistaken one should be right by the carb on the right hand side and one in the front of the car. They are very easy to overlook. I pulled mine out with 2 two bolts and a chain and then realized it had the loops. :rofl2:

I'll check again ,I may have to find a different place to hook since I'm pulling the engine and trans together to get the balance right.thanks

The early 6 cyl motors did not have the "hoops".

I have a big chain with j-hooks on the ends (big j-hooks). I hook one on the rear of the exhaust manifold, and the other end gets bolted to the block where the power steering mounts.
