Tim and Collin came up Saturday morning and picked me up. we went up I75 to exit 205 and picked up Jeff... from there we went to our favorite salvage yard... pulled a manual gearbox w/pitman arm, manual steering link, sill plates and a pair of wiper arms w/spring covers from a '70 maverick. 3 sets of dual horns from some Crown Vics...(extra loud). rummaged through some old cars to see what else we could find...found a set of headers in a '59 ford, didn't have a clue what they fit... left there and went to......................................Baby Janes... for lunch... then on to...Summit...:bananaman Colin bought himself a new steering wheel for his maverick... I had a great time hanging with the Guys and shooting the breeze... as always...we plan on doing this again soon... "A Large Time Was Had By All"
Sounds like a great day for your 12,999 post I hope that you're planning an even "larger time had by all" for your 13,000 post
And a lot of cool stuff in the junkyard! You just don't get old cars around here.. They were all crushed and melted.. Oldest stuff you see is like 80s? And only the more expensive popular ones because they would rather scrap it for the money, sound like you had a good day though! I'm waiting for m brother to pick me up were heading to an auto parts swap meet
I have one of those sets of dual horns, I had it in my hands just yesterday...it's still factory fresh.
Had a great time...except for me leaving my tool bag in the junkyard. Hopefuly it will still be there Monday morning, if not, we will know somebody will have a good story to tell someone about finding a bag of tools sitting on a Maverick fender in the junkyard every time they use one of my wrenchs or screwdrivers. You forgot to mention that I also got a heater control box. The headers inside the '59 Ford looked like FE headers. I been thinking serious about going back and getting the black bucket seats out of that car sitting next to that '59 for my Falcon.
