I bought my 71 Comet sans engine.. but it did come with the 6901 exhaust so I can only assume that those headers will work with PS since my car has that option.

Aside from that.. it has a B&M floor shifter so I couldn't really say about that column shifter compatability.

As much as everyone goes on about how good 6901's are, it seems everyone has issues with them.....

i have colum shift they were hitting on the shift linkage. but i got some doug thorley headers (shorties) $459:49: but they were designed in a mav for a mav so hopefully these will work and all i need now is a powersteering pump bracket (i have the 5.0 style pump on my engine need to convert back to old school pump), trans yoke, and to get those headers on and im ready to start her upp!!!!

What floor shifter do you have?

I'm probably going to swap, but I don't want to have to reach for the shifter.
