Sorry didn't mean to list you... Or loose you either :D
When I am posting about things I enjoy, I sometimes loose track of my vernacular use of terminology in a given field of study.
I usually post here when I am only thinking about mavericks.. so my geek doesn't shine through as much

Yeah brackenan look forward to hearing how that works for you. :D

After 2 hours and trying 6 different plugins and viewers, I think I'm gonna stick with SAP. The x3d plugins were way too complicated to figure out how to use, and once I figured out how to use them, they wouldn't even open the model in x3d format. I was very optimistic and hoping this would be a better way. But, unfortunately, it was a bust. Maybe I just wasn't looking in the right places but I couldn't find anything that would work. :hmmm:

Even though SAP is somewhat of large file size (45+ Mb), it suits the purpose very well. It's free, and it even works well on a system with only 1GB of RAM and very basic graphics with no fancy stuff. So far, this seems to be the best bet for getting this out there for everyone. I figure most users have at least a dual-core processor and at least 1GB of RAM. So this should handle just fine. Even worked flawless on my 9 year old HP laptop I had lying around. :thumbs2:

I was really hoping this would work better, but unfortunately it doesn't work at all for my model. :(

Here are the minimum requirements for a computer to use SAP Visual Enterprise Viewer:

    [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Supported Operating Systems
    Windows XP sp3 (32 and 64)
    Vista (32 and 64)
    Windows 7 (32 and 64)

    Recommended Operating System
    Windows 7 (32 and 64)

    Minimum Hardware Configuration
Pentium 4 1Ghz processor or higher
512MB of RAM (more for large model and texture sizes)
Microsoft DirectX, version 9 (free for download, if you don't already have it)
    Internet Explorer 6.0
Graphics card capable of displaying 24-bit color
    3D hardware accelerator video card

    Recommended Hardware Configuration
Pentium 4, 2Ghz processor or higher
3GB of RAM (more for large model and texture sizes)
    Microsoft DirectX, version 9
3D hardware accelerator video card with 256MB of RAM (OpenGL 2.0 and Shader Model 3.0 support for HDR Rendering)

Hmmm... yeah sorry my friend that it didn't work out for you.
Might be over thinking this... yeah if SAP works would be a fast way to push it out. I will ask around and see what I can find out, I wish I had more free time during the am hours when I am able to focus..:16suspect

Thanks!! It's my pleasure! Plus I'm learning some new things as I go along; about 3D modeling, web-hosting and Mavericks lol! :D

Thank you so much for the support!! I'm very happy with the results thus far. As I said a few days ago, I hope to get this out before Christmas!:rofl2:

Over 300 programmers and 3 decades of coding to write the modeling software being used....yeah baffles my mind as well.:bouncy:

And that's just the one program. There are dozens of them on the market in various forms of strengths/abilities. And that's just 3d stuff.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't had any updates in awhile. My new job is taking up all my time and am usually too tired and have too many other chores to do when I get home. :dizzy: I've still been dabbling a bit more into it. Made a few updates to the radiator mount and shock towers and the frame rails. Also started working on the 302 engine model to put under the hood. All I have so far of that is the block and the heads roughed in. I don't really plan on making the engine perfectly detailed because that would take weeks of work. But the top end of the engine, I plan on making that as detailed as possible because that's the part you're going to see.

I can only imagine the work of the coders and programmers that spent years of time and effort to put these 3D modeling programs together. That's probably why they're so darn expensive! :yup:

Thanks again for all your awesome compliments! Glad you guys like it!! :)

Also, anyone have any good pics of their front valence off the car? (The more the better! lol)

Mine are bent to hell... so not helpful.
Hopefully DDB has some or someone else.
