I have a question guys, What guage is the metal that the fenders bolt onto in the engine bay? I have spots on each side (drivers and passengers) that have rusted through and need replaced. I was going to cut them out and weld in new metal. I'm also doing some small patches on the floor pan, what guage metal should I use?

    Thanks,
    Hack

I used 18 on the shock towers. The fender aprons and floor pan appear to be 19 gauge

All good man. I'm getting her ready for my buddy to come over and do the welding. I can't weld and don't have any equipment so he's coming over to help out. Maybe he can show me a thing or two about welding while he's here.
