Found A Great Parts Source!

I was on a trip to my old stomping grounds in northwestern Arizona and found a good contact for Maverick parts. This man has been into Mavericks for years and has resuced many whole cars and has salvaged many more parts.

I picked up a very good hood, a rear splash and a set of clutch pedals. The green 73 with the blue door is for sale and I think I will talk to him this next week to see what kind of deal I can work with him. He currently has nine complete running Mavericks in his stable!

The blue shell is a Grabber that could be salvaged. It has been hit on the front passenger quarter and has some damage on the passenger rear. He has both a good quarter and the parts to repair the front.

He has numerous doors, hoods, deck lids and various parts all from the dry desert region of Arizona. The bad part is that he is not interested in dealing on the internet but he said he would be willing to deal through me. The bad news there is that I only pass his way about twice a year. Still if your not in a super hurry I would always be willing to help out my fellow Mavericks.

We are like that here. You did not find anything that we did not already know. Go back to OHIO! You dont live here. We Do. If you would like something he has, it is best that you ask one of us first to contact him I think he would like it to be that way. Dont STOMP where he lives. Trust comes first here. Just sayin. I would agree, but....believe it or not.....there are still people in this State who think that electricity is Federal Govt. intrusion. Be very careful when aproaching people who live here about such things as Monogamy and Banks, or anything else for that matter. People here in the boonies can take things wrong that were not meant as such. They are good people, very loyal and Patriotic. They feel encraoched upon. Just want to be left alone. I would be very happy to negotiate with this man on anyones behalf.

I am not originally from Ohio but what does that matter? Ohio is a great state and "Dumb da da, Dumb, Dumb" does not apply. He is not originally from Arizona but from Michigan - but what does that matter?

Arizona is a great state and I have lived a major part of my life here and currently have an Arizona address. My best friend here in southern Arizona (born and raised) plays the banjo. But what does that matter? I too am loyal and patriotic and HATE encroachment in any form. (And why did that innuendo surface?)

So ... my offer is to help those who may want it.

I know you guys are having a hard time with illegal immigrants but I didnt know that meant people from Ohio, or is it just any state other than Arizona. Sheesh

 

Maybe Craig has heat stroke from working on his car agian in 110 degree heat. I can see his point about stopping on somebodies grounds that dosnt like to be bothered but maybe he missed the part that the guy from Ohio already knew the guy with the parts. Oh well, we dont always understand what Restos talking about but he usually means well.

 

Did you bring back a trailer full of rust free parts?
