I really didn't want to give up my trunk space but considering a fuel cell for various reasons. I need at least 15 gallons, what dimentions can I fit back there? My cage drops down early towards the front of the trunk so I'm not terribly space limited. I'll just have to remove the bazooka tube :)

Would a 32 gallon make the rear too heavy?

Yea, mostly the silver state classic, but of course drag as well. Seems that a fuel cell with a bladder is what is recommended to be safest. I am shopping around but nothing cheap out there.

If you go a bigger tank. look at some of the off road sites, I used to race a class 7 truck and had a 40 gallon Fuel Safe cell with the bladder, not cheap at all

I'm a little worried about that much weight in the back.

I have a 22gallon tank. I have no reason to fill it up unless I am on a long trip. But even then, necessary rest stops come before I would need to refill it so why bother. I guess my point is, go with the smaller tank to fit your needs. If you estimate that you'll need 15 for the SSC, then go with the 22. Nobody says you have to hit the start line with a full tank. dry weight shouldnt be that much different.

can you tell me more about your tank? is it baffled?
I was looking at those fuel safe ones, but they aren't baffled, and I can't run it with foam ...
