I take it you didnt take a good look at the link I posted, I run a completely different power steering system in my car then all but one other members car on the board here, and his currently isnt up and running.

I am running an actual power steering gearbox, from what information I have found the box started out life as a Delphi 600 or something in that range and borgeson modifies them to replace the power steering setup in classic cars and trucks.:thumbs2:

but the problem with your power steering doesnt sound like your gearbox it sounds like your control valve is out of adjustment. This is actually what your gearbox actuates, the hydraulic ram does most of the work turning your car side too side.

No I understand the difference. I just don't edit quotes after getting banned from about 50 forums for it over the years. It's a habit that's not worth breaking.

    Thanks

Thanks everyone for the input. I spent another day at Pick and Pull stripping down what was a very nice '74 two door, with a baby blue nearly mint interior.:hmmm:

I cut out sections of the sills so that I can put the retractable seat belts into my '71. After hacking away with a chisle and hacksaw in the 90+ heat, my desire to get in there and yank the power steering evaporated. I have spent tewnty hours there in the last two weeks. I had enough. If I decide to do PS, hopefully I can find another donar car. Right now, it is just not worth the grief.
