    Hello.. :tiphat:
Very new to this... I fit a 351 windsor into my 72 Grabber. I want to put the Edelbrock air gap RPM intake on it, and a low pro morroso air cleaner. I used the 302 mounts to keep it lower. I was wondering if this combo is going to hit the hood??

Most likely...I have a 351 in my Sprint with a performer intake and it has 1/2" max clearance between the drop base air cleaner and the hood...

I agree. Even a 302 doesn't have more than 1/2" - 1" clearance, even with the stock air cleaner. You practically need some vasoline to get these motors in. :rofl2:

Not sure if the performer intake is shorter than the Air Gap RPM?? I did a lot of measuring under the hood.. 11 1/2" from the block ( intake valley ) To the under side of the hood ( the brace section) BUT!!! Does the Grabber hood have more clearance than the standard hood??? carb height = 3 1/4" intake = 5.31" air cleaner = 2 1/2 ( low pro - 3" filter). maybe 1/4 to 3/8" gaskets??? should fit...... I will trim the lip on the brace for sure!! I just wonder if its going to hit??? I love the Grabber hood,,. But if I got to cut a hole!!!???? I AM GOING TO GO A LOT BIGGER!!!

The air gap intake is tall enough to need a hole in the hood. Headers? On my Sprint you ask...LOL... Yeah it has headers...Beat up, but their in there. No tower notch...Its interesting to say the least.
    Dont cut the grabber hood...

ya.... pics are always awesome!! I will have some on here soon!! I have a standard hood if I need to cut 1 up!! I have the grabber hood all nice, All black, everything blacked out. I have all 72 stuff, but the 72 stuff doesnt look tough... standard grill no lights.. all chrome painted.. windows all tinted....only chrome is the emblem in front, the gas cap, and the push buttons on the door handles.... Anyways.. I am still wondering about the FIT!!?? I guess I can just build the motor the way i want it, and worry about the sleeper look with the next project.......:(.... ttyl

I agree with Mavman72 don't cut the grabber hood, and i also think that this combination isnt going to fit and is going to have to poke up through the hood.
That engine sounds like its going to be a beast (y)
